It's a possibility.
But LNB's very rarely fail.
More often they had a simple bad connection, and when you unspin the cable
to swap in a new one the new one works fine, and many just blame the LNB.
When just disconnecting it and reconnecting, cleans the connection enough
that you are back in business.
Especially if the original installer simply used indoor 15 cent crimp-on
coax connectors.....DON'T LAUGH, IT HAPPENS!
