Glad to see you found it without having to freeze your ***'s off.
You may just have a broken wire or loose coax connector, but check to see if
the connector on the IRD may be broken loose (bad solder joint) inside the
RF cage as well.
Mind you if worse comes to worse, a 3100 can be replaced quite cheaply
($20-$40) .
