I have a question, We had an existing old satellite dish mounted on the house we rented I never bothered to take it down not mine to do so. The other day my land lord moved out an unruly tenant a few houses down the road the hard way and tossed the guys stuff in the dumpster. I peeked in there and found two direct TV boxes, so not wanting to see a good electronic device get ruined by rain or crushing dump truck I acquired them from the mean old dumpster there in mint condition. I hooked one up, just fooling around to the old dish on the house and I got a full signal . No TV channels would come in, but when I went to ppv. I clicked Buy and it works .. "EVIL GRIN" How will they know where to bill me since it is hooked up only to a dish and the electric outlet then to my TV how can they bill me? Ive never ordered Direct TV. Also why does it work? I also have another one just like it , what do these things go for , is there a market ?
