We have Direct TV just installed at our Ma's house, & as she comes away with us at weekends in the motorhome, can she unplug one of her recievers & we will get TV out in the boonies?

I do have a tripod, but there was the dishes on sale on our local C/list, so would these work OK, or does she need to buy a specific dish for RVing?
(the Direct installer just told her to go to an electrical shop & buy a dish & cable as it would be cheaper than buying their package!)
