Should I remind DirecTV that I owe them money?

I recently realized that I haven't seen a cable bill in awhile. I tried to find an old one but had no luck. So I called DirecTV to get automated info on my account and it said that my balance is $70, my last payment was made in February but no payment is due at this time.I don't know if I should even speak to a representative because if it's a computer glitch I'd rather just ride the wave."Catch up to me"? I'm not some crooked criminal stealing cable. I'm asking for advice as to how they can tell me I have a balance while at the same time saying the bill is not due.

Trust me...it all comes out in the wash. You'll probably get a bill for 3-4 months worth and have to pony up the cash all at once or get disconnected. They're not stupid-- they know you knew that you weren't paying. I just had to shell out $400 for water/gas beucase they hadn't sent me a bill in 2 months...and i TRIED calling to find out what was going on and they never picked up.

They don't have paperbills anymore. They send everything via email now. Maybe you want to check on that. They suck, though. You get bad reception and they blame weather. Even if we have sunshine! You pay but don't get TV and they raise the prices all the time. My basic program went from 42 bucks a month to 55 in less than two years! That's quite a hike...I am looking into getting everything from one provider (phone, internet, cable). AT&T offers $99 a month for all three. But that's not what you were asking - but they suck! So check your mails! And yea, sooner or later they'll want all the dough at once... They only forget about money if they owe you! Not vice versa... Good luck, though.

this is what id do ... you know what your bill usually runs...go head & pay it ... if you dont owe it it will just stay in your account ... ... if they never take it out ... then you are ahead for hard times....
