Would it work to point a directv satelite out your window, instead of actually

outside.? would it still get a signal

you may (prob.) have a problem with refraction. Also how clean are your windows. No tech would tell you this is ok.

If you have a clear view of the southwestern sky (no trees) it might, but the signal may not be too good.
