Can you transfer video from a directv dvr? Service has been cancelled.?

There are always ways to do things. If you own the DVR then I would recommend going to a site called PVRBlog.com and checking out what people have done there. I know that on the Mac there is a program that will pull video off of Tivo brand DVR's. If that's your brand then that would be a way to go, and it's legal because it's a Tivo product. Otherwise there are probably many solutions on the web to get them off. Good luck!
