can I change my local channels to a different city on Directv?

I know it can be done I just need to know how. Thanks for any help

Yes, call direct TV and tell them what city you want.

you can change them as long as you are in the same area!a neighboring city should be no problem, but cross country won't work because the satellite beams locals to regions not the entire country.
