Hello,I have directv model- d11 recievers in my home.Ihave heard that upgrading to a more expensive powercable other than the cheap stock that came with therecievers can give better picture quality.I have hdtvset although the picture is good I would like to make it better.I can not seem to find the type of upgrade power cord for this reciever.It is 3 prong type but I do not know what specific kind.Do anyone have a clue and can testify that buying a higherend power cord will make a difference ? thanks all

a poer cord will not make any difference. whoever told you that must be joking.
if you want a better picture, use A/V RCA cords to the TV, that way you bypass the tuner.
However, if you want the best picture (since you have a HD TV), get a HD receiver. It will cost you to upgrade with Direct TV, but it is worth it.
If you do not want to pay for the upgrade (and you are not in a contract yet), switch to dish.
