Directv installation help!!!?

A few months ago I moved and took my Directv service with me. It was suppose to be free considering it was their promotion and I've paid every bill to them on time and have good credit. They charged my 50 dollars so I paid it anyways. Now I'm moving again a few months later, but only to a downstairs apartment because it's nicer. I called directv and they said that I can only have 1 free move in 12 months. (Well the first move wasn't free and they couldn't tell me why except that it is in small print and it "just is for a number of factors") They wanted to charge me 200 dollars for a technician to come and move the satellite over. I figured I'd just get a couple more cables for my satellite and run them from that side to my side. I have the Directv DVR in one room and then a regular reciever in the other room. What type of cables do I need to buy and are there any spliters or anything I need as well? Thanks...I only have to move my satellite about 50 feet, I don't have enough cable because my apartment only has one window on the side and I have to run the bedroom and the living room cable through there. So I don't think I'll need a multi switch. Where can I buy the cable I need?? Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, Radio Shack?I also forgot to ask, Since my DVR has two cables that run from satellite to box do I need two different kinds of cables other than the RG 6's or whatever to extend the cables already there?

Send a message via Yahoo to dishrodger
no switches. remove the lnbf (the eye) the ports for the capble are there. Run 2 lines to the DVR & 1 to the standard. RG6 cable is what you use. need waterproof ends. It should be grounded.
Do not move the dish!!!!!!! or you will have to repeak it.

to be honest, you can run all the cables you want but it may have some signal leaks if not done correctly. What I would do is to hire a directv, dish, or cable technician you su on the street, offer them 40 bucks, and they will run the cables for you. Make sure you have written permission from your landlord.Another thing you may do is call Dirctv and ask them when your contract is over because you want to switch to cable because of what has happened. Be serious and tell them that unless they move the antenna you will be canceling. Try it, it works....
