I currently have standard DirectTV and I just got a high-def TV. Someone offered to sell me their HD receiver because they are upgrading to the HD-DVR receiver. Do I have to have a new Dish to get HD or will my standard dish work with a HD receiver?

You will need an HD dish to receive the HD Channels
