Installing a new 5 LNB slimline dish???

Hi all, I am getting a new HD 5 LNB slimline dish and do not want to wait 1 month for install, and I also want to put the dish where I want it. I put my last oval 3 LNB HD dish up with no problems. Question Can I use the old base to mount the new upright staff, is it the same? I know the new dish has 2 stablizer arms that I will have to add. Also
can I use a Radio Shack satellite finder Model: 16-594 to help find all the sat signals? Has anyone used 1 of these? Thanks Mike

You can not use the old base the post sizes are different. I dont think the satellite finder would work, if you do use it make sure you point to sat 101. This is where it would be tough after that

there are adaptors that you can get for the difference in the pole size...

but you will have the new pole anyway ... so use it ...you are only looking at 15 min to half hour difference & a better job..

i think you can use the meter ... but remmember ... this dish HAS TO BE POINTED SOLID..... DEAD CENTER....
