DirecTV Customer Service - Free Service wasn't

Hey all! I'm new to the forums but I'm hoping someone can help me to figure out how I can get this resolved:

I called DTV about 2 1/2 months ago now, and complained because my dish wasn't working with the single wire setup because of a busted power supply. They said that they would have to send someone out (to hook up an external power supply!) but that it would be credited back on my account and that if I had any issues to just call in because they had made note on my file just in case.

So of course the bill comes with no credit so I call in. They can't find the note of course and refuse to credit my account for the service.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get them to do what they promised? If they had told me that I would be billed for the $50 service call to replace a power box (and the tech didn't even have one when he came the first time!) I would have ordered it on ebay for about $15 and been done with it. This is highly frustrating and not the first time that DirecTV customer service has screwed me over. I have had a horrible experience with them since day one.

They put the dish on a tree when I requested it be on a pole. Of course the tree grew so the service went away, but that was 15 days after my 90 day guarantee so they forced me to pay $80 for a service call to move it onto a pole like I asked in the first place. Then they put it on a pole, but didn't set it in cement so the thing moves around all of the time, so now I bought a sat finder and align it myself all of the time to fix their screw up.

Now this time with the hardware I would have fixed that myself, but they said that the part would be free and the service would be free too. Otherwise I would have skipped them entirely. GRRRRRR.

Anyone have any help/suggestions?

Thanks!

When it comes to shifting they shouldn't ask for even a single penny. I don't know why you paid them $80

Believe me, I didn't want to, but they were going to screw with my credit score. Now I'm looking for a way to get my money back.
