Can I sign up for DirecTV or Dish service in one city and install that equipment in another city? For instance, what is to prevent me from signing up for satellite service in Cleveland, OH but installing the equipment in Chicago? So I'd be able to live in Chicago, but the channel lineup I receive would be what is shown in Cleveland?

If it is simply the area code of phone line, would that be the only thing stopping me from doing this? And if that is the case, could I sign up for a Vonage line with a Cleveland area code accomplish this?

Any input would be appreciated. I haven't been able to find any info on this.

I've posted this in both the DirecTV and Dish forum in hopes of a response. I'm not as concerned about the provider, as I'd be happy with either.
