directv is bad mojo. very costly plus you have to pay extra 5 bucks a month in case your dish screws up or pay 70-90 per visit. not to mention its a 250 dollar cancellation fee when you finally discover how freakin bad directv sucks!!!! oh and if you happen to lose signal on a clear day and call to complain about it..good luck getting through to anyone. best bet...CABLE

Send a message via Yahoo to dishrodger
you have them in order. dish/direct/cable.
if dish or direct is installed and alined right, you should have very little trouble.
Cost factors are also in the same order (unless you want NFL sunday ticket...Direct Tv). Most retailors warrenty thier work for a year. Dish with dha18 is 18mths at 30/service call.

Hi Kirk,I have not had direct TV but I gave up Dish for Comcast & never looked back.I would lose a signal from Dish everytime it rained hard. My Comcast is very reliable plus I get my Internet service from them as well.Norm

i have direct tv and love it. cable was way less reliable, it seemed we had them out ever other week. i am in new constructiuon and i am sure that had alot to do with it. Also direct tv is launching a new sat. this fall, it promises a ton of high def channels (near a hundred) way more than the others provide. but cable does have on demand very cool feature. i really know nuthing about dish. sorry.

As you can see by previous answers, each service has their fan base. I personally have DirecTv and love it. HOWEVER, each service offers slightly different channel lineups, equipment packages and service/support options. In addition, you can bundle certain providers with telephone and internet packages for even better pricing. You should look at your particular needs before settling on someone else's opinion about 'what's the best'. Take into account whether or not you need kids programming, channel lineups you like to watch, if you love certain sports more than others (if any), who your internet, mobile and phone providers are, if you own or rent your residence, your current viewing equipment and if you want HD programming and/or DVR service. All of those will help you narrow your choice down to what serves YOU best.
