Charter Cable T.V. vs Direct T.V. and/or Dish Network?

I'm unhappy with rate increase for Cable T.V. and would like to know if anyone can support my idea of switching from cable to a Satellite T.V. system. With cable internet I'm paying too much! I'd appreciate any/all suggestions...THANKS!!!

Send a message via Yahoo to dishrodger
dump cable. I'd go w/Dish Network. More channels, better pic, less money.
as for internet, either DSL, or Wild blue.

As a former Comcast customer, I can only say that it is comcrapstic. During the time I had their service I usually had to have service visit at least once a month. I switched over to Dish Network with local channels and service I receive is fantastic. The price is about 50 a month and I have never had to have a service call during this time period. Your issue with cable internet is choice between price and service. I kept my cable internet service since I found SBC Yahoo service to be too slow and somewhat buggy.
