Dish Network DVR confusion?

I just got Dish Network DVR and it is so confusing to me. I am usually very quick with technology. We have one main satellite box and two TVs. I can't figure out how to record something and watch something else at the same time. I know it has something to do with "TV1" and TV2." I also don't know how to switch TV1 and TV2 after I set something to record. If I set something to record on TV2 and decide I would rather it record on TV1, do I have to delete the setting to record on TV2 and re-set it on TV1? Thanks for any help.

I had the same problem when I got dish. Play with it some and you will learn it. As far as I have discovered, You cant watch one channel and record another at the same time. It seems to be set up as watch on one tv and record on the other if you dont want to watch what you are recording.

you can record on 1 tv and watch the other. when you want to watch the play back of the recording, it does not matter which tv you watch it on. Anything recorded can be watched on either TV.
