burn payperview movies from dish network dvr to a dvd burner hooked up to it?

i have dish network and a dvr i have bought some ppv movies and dvr'ed them and i we have a panasonic dvd burner that we bought and i wanna know if i can burn them i figured out how to burn them i got video but no sound is it something wiht a copyright or do i not have it hooked up right..??
