The guy installed it through the Video 2 port Should he have installed it through the HDMI port?

hdmi is the way to go. However, the unit does not come with these cords. you either need to have them there for the tech, or buy them from the tech if he has them. either way you should of told him.
I hook them up with composit rca cords & do not charge the customer, but I do not have to as this is an additional cost to me. I would not just throw in hdmi cords.
