hello guys I'm a complete noob at this but a few of my friends told me its impossible to watch satelite tv for free anymore they told me something about the cards or whatever, but can someone tell me if that's true or not and the exact cause if so, because i was thinking of getting a satelite.I live in Toronto, Canada(if that helps).

I believe it is still possible but it technically isn't free. Every time your card gets hit you have to have it reprogrammed. Cards can get hit 1-3 times a week which means you are wasting a lot of time. In the long run it will be more convenient to just pay for the satellite signal and not worry about anything else.
