New set up LOL

I spoke to Wizard today who didn't have much time on the phone. Anyway I
said I didn't want a motorised system and asked about the Wave Frontier, or
similar. He said they wouldn't get all the satellites I wanted, Hotbird,
Astras Hispasat etc. He said to just chose 2 satellites I am interested in
and get a monoblock somertorother.
Anyway he suggested the Technomate 1500 because it has cams?
I just need the name of a decent dish, LNB now and I am all set for another
adventure and you lot another headache.
With my track record do you think I shoul go for it or steer clear lol

Anyway will order on Monday providing I know what to get. I like the look of
the Wave frontier though but wonder if its necesary for the ones I want.

There are 50 and 90 cm versions. The Wave Frontier Web site shows the specs.
Satellites must be separated by a minimum angle. The T90 version is quite big!
You need an LNB for each satellite that you want to receive from.

It has one CAM slot and one inbuilt 'Multicrypt' CAm for which there is a card
slot

I would imagine that aligning a toroidal dish is quite tricky!

Michael (and Pat), this link (hope it stays together on the line):

http://forumz.tomshardware.com/games...pict40855.html

...suggests that the experience of other Users that you're both
correct to be wary about the trickiness of aligning a toroidal.

The shere number of LNBs must also be a considerable expense
and weight, unless one only wants two or three satellites.

No personal experience though; opted for motorised - much
easier with USALS - with basically an almost limitless number
of satellites and positions across the arc, with only one LNB.
Much better value!

Mind, the motor should be working in the first place with the
mount, the motor and the (much cheaper) dish properly wired up
and aligned.
