TV Guide and Recording on a PVR

I have the PVR Toshiba Hard drive recorder. RD-XS35
I want to use it with Express Vue but the TV guide is not available
for the PVR. The manual states that TV Guide doesn't work with
satellite servers.
I checked with Videotron and they told me that the only way to have
the TV Guide is to purchased one of the recorders they sell. $400 and
$600.00, you then get the TV Guide with 2 days of scheduling.

I am using the ExpressVue 3100 receiver and this unit displays a 2 day
TV Guide and transmits the selected program information to any VCR
that is present in the same room. Simple and practical.

I want to replace the VCR by the Toshiba PVR
Contacted Toshiba but it was only time wasted.

I believe that if I can enter the remote control code in the 3100 the
system should work. After all I only need the Record and Stop commands

Is the 3100 receiver the only one with this feature?

Comments please.

John
