Recommendation for an NTSC compatible satellite system anyone?

Hi everyone,

How's yourselves? I'm hoping someone here might be able to recommend a satellite system to me that is compatible with my NTSC TV. I used to have a cheap Fortec Star system I bought from Maplin, which worked - had a menu where you could change the output from PAL to NTSC - but it had a pretty awkward user interface and the satellite seemed to always have a bad reception, probably just too cheap. I think I paid about £50 for the full kit.

I contacted Sky to see if their new HD boxes would work with my TV and was told after a bit of mumbling that it would as NTSC and PAL don't matter anymore and as long as I had an HDMI input it would be fine. I later found this information to be incorrect. So that's a negative on a Sky box.

If I can get an HD box, that would be awesome, but I'm not looking to spend crazy money on a box, so would settle for SD if HD is too expensive. I saw a complete HD kit (satellite, HD receiver, cables, etc..) in HomeBase for £79 it was under the name Ross I think. Does anyone know if it's any good and if it supports NTSC?

Any advice or recommendations you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
