UFC officials have named another lightweight bout scheduled for their return to the Versus Network and it comes in the form of T.J. Grant vs. Shane Roller.

“UFC on Versus 6: Cruz vs. Johnson” takes place from our nation’s capitol on Oct. 1 from the Verizon Center in Washington DC. The evenings main card will air live on the Versus sports network and feature a main event between Dominick Cruz and Demetrious Johnson for the UFC’s bantamweight title.

After making a successful UFC debut against Thiago Tavares, Roller, a WEC import tasted defeat in his last UFC outing when he went opposite Melvin Guillard at UFC 132. He will now look to erase the sting of defeat against the divisional newcomer dropping down from welterweight in Grant.

After mixed results in the UFC’s welterweight division, T.J. Grant will now make his lightweight debut against the aforementioned Roller. With six-UFC fights to his credit, the Canadian based fighter has alternated wins and losses with his most recent outing be a decision loss to Ricardo Almeida back at UFC 124.
