What? No it doesn't. I had far more interruptions with my cable service than I ever had with a dish. There were a couple of times in the past 6 years of winter snow where the dish would collect and hold the snow but that was at tops twice in 6 years. Even then it's not that difficult to brush the snow from it with a broom or something.

I actually had a friend complain to me about the same thing and he said that he put a mesh-like cloth over the dish with a long rope tied to the bottom so he couple simply shake the rope and the snow would fall off. I don't know if it works or not, never tried it.

I live in California now, so I won't ever have to worry about snow again.
