Hello all.. my first post so thought I would go ahead and post on the topic which led me to join here to begin with, which is AMC altering movie playback speed.

I walked into the room yesterday and my wife was watching CaddyShack on AMC. It so happened to be on a part where music by Journey was being played (Any way you want it), but it did not sound like Journey. At first I thought they had changed it for some reason but after sitting and watching for a second I noticed that the voices of all the actors was faster and you could also see the movement was faster as well. When a commercial came on the playback was normal. Watching another program on AMC I found the above to also be true. The only reason I could see for movie playback to be increased in speed, while playing commercials at normal speed would be to fit more commercials in. Surely this cannot be legal can it?

If anyone else has AMC please watch it a for a while and see if you notice this. I did a search on it and did find someone else that had noticed it but could not contact them.
