I feel terrible for his wife and kids but I have a feeling they all can somehow cope with his dead because he was doing what he really loved.

Speaking for myself, I knew about Steve Irwin's shows from satellite TV channels. Indeed, he was a Naturalist from capital "N". He could explain even to kids lots of various things about nature.
