I am fed up with DISH Network - Anyone else have the same experience??
I'm looking for help or support for anyone who could give it to me. I'm tired of having this monthly battle with DISH Network!
May or maybe June of 2009 that I became a cusomter of DISH Network. In April 2009, my divorce from my husband of 25 years became final. While married, my family had been a satisfied customer of Direct TV for approximately 15 years. After my divorce, I tried using Cox cable for one month but was unhappy with the service I received. After being on the phone with both Direct TV and Dish TV both at the same time (separate lines) I thought Dish TV was giving me the best deal for my money. I started having problems with DISH TV beginning with the confirmation call to have the equipment installed. Apparently, the sales person I spoke with not only lied to me about what I would be charged for the equipment I requested, he also ordered the wrong equipment for what I ordered. At that point, I should have cancelled the installation. I had no idea that I would continue to have problems with my bills every month since the installation. Basically, my complaint is this ... from that very first call, I was very specific with the sales person I spoke with that I had three HD TVs. I told the sales person that I wanted to be able to watch different programs on all three TVs at the same time and I wanted DVRs for all three TVs. I was told "no problem." Your monthly bill will be XXX - which was under $40. My statements have NEVER been under $40. I have NEVER ended up paying the same amount for the services that I've received. Every month, I have to call in and talk to a different customer service person and explain the same story I just told you and every month, I get told my monthly bill will be XXX and the next month, I get the bill and it's never xxx. This month, my bill after everything was said and done was $60 which is unexceptable. I don't have sports channels, I don't have HBO, Showtime, Stars, or any other premium channel. Last month, I offered to give up one of my DVRs, and they ended up telling me it wouldn't save me any money off of my bill. I make $40,000 a year from my job. I don't get monthly income from my ex or a free ride from anybody else. I have a very tight monthly budget. DISH Network offers poor customer service at best. I have asked their representatives to e-mail me what we've discussed so that when I have the same problem next month, I can have some back -up as to what I was told. I have been told by their reps that they cannot do that. I've also asked for the representatives' name - both first and last, and their direct phone number for the same reason - they tell me they can't do that either. Really, other than screw me over, what can DISH Network do for me? I'm frustrated to the point of contacting a lawyer. I would simply drop the service except I can't do that either because supposedly, I have entered into a two-year agreement; however, I guess I'm the only one who had to honor what I agreed to. Any advice? |
